Just saw on Montana site Miss Montana with fur coats at the Montana convention.
Have we ever invited Miss NY State to convention. ?

I have had differences of opinions with several people over the years and it has only made me a stronger supporter of NYSTA and the NTA.. Debbie also.
If you took offence to one person, Well...

1 I don't know what your soil conditions are like. When I used rebar I also used 24 inch stakes but I crossed staked. I used two of then in an x shape. there is a connector that you can get that make this system easy to do. I also used short chain.seemed to keep cyote on the ground not giving it room to jump to pump stakes up and out.
Cable stakes are another option as well as drags.

stonearm2006 I deleted your last post.
What you need to do is learn proper anchoring practices for what ever you are catching.

What ever you have to trap ; Target that. I would want to be sure that I am after Prime fur. Watch the weather and be patient. Take time handling any fur that you get. Do as good a job as you can. A lot of money is either made and or lost in the fur shed.
Enjoy the great outdoors.

From Adirondack People & Places book. Bear hunting encompasses more than a century of tradition in the Adirondacks. Most hunters have a Bear Story to tell. About a hundred years ago , Charles Dudley Warner's popular narrative How I killed a Bear was required reading by the New York State Regents Board.
I doubt if you could find it in one public school library now.

one thought on this project. A lot of misconception about the trap with teeth. I would show & tell that theses are no longer used.
Good Luck on your presentation. Ed

There is some kind of virus in some areas that is decimating the turkey population. Believe it is coming up from Pennsylvania.

Have seen coyotes working last fall sets in the spring after the snow melts. Sometimes wonder if using way to much lure to start with.

Has anyone ever used shock springs on foot traps for beaver?
Just a thought that has been rolling around in my head.
