100 fisher in a year with or without a partner is an accomplishment that not many can say they've done before. Congratulations!!

excellent job everyone. unfortunately my 100th came while i was by myself 3 seasons back. i could show you the pic but it looks like so many other red foxes im sure youve seen. red body w/black feet & white tip on the tail etc. ;D 97 reds, 2 yotes and a gray fox. id like to ask brandon: approx how many more miles would/did you have to travel to catch those 100 fisher as opposed to what you think (or may have done)it would take to catch 100 k9's. id think the pop density of fisher is a lot less than the k9. (id guess 3 or 4x the travel?) congrats on a great catch you could write books about-or even a dvd ;D

Congrats guys ! It's a ton of work and a lot of miles to catch a hundred or hundreds of any furbearer.
Do beavers and rats count ? lol

I've got to tip my hat to anybody who catches 100 of any furbearer. It sure gets to be a lot work, but it's a work you can love and take pride in. I've been lucky enough to trap with a few excellent trappers and it has certainly shortened the learning curve. The fella I partnered up with is one of those guys who is a hard worker and knows what he's doing. Bad combination for any fur around!! Lots of miles to produce that many fisher with a lot of empty traps checked... I've run 250 miles a day before running fisher traps, but try to keep it a little lower than that.. 175 miles a day is a good #. I think one season I put 9000 miles on my truck, if thats any indication... No dvd's or books outta me, I'll leave those to guys who want to do that stuff. Some of the books and DVD's out there are only made to try to make a quick buck, hell there are guys with dvd's/books out whose season catch amount to a good trappers 2-3 day run. There are a ton of better fisher trappers than me. I think I just work harder than them and set a lot of traps. Work ethic is just one of the things you can't teach or learn from a DVD. That's the big secret to making a big catch...

HYG..... This picture and the others I took like it represent a specific coyote number, not canines..... heck, if I counted fox in this number I'd get to it, like, one day faster! MZ

You're right Von...the "club" is getting bigger. Still consider it to be a pretty elite organization though...and welcome the new guys. Like Mark, counting coyotes would get me there about a day sooner. Here's my very first fox #100. Sure was a nicer fox than this year's. Nothing to denote him as #100, but still a special picture to me.
