Well today was opening day for PA rifle so i took the day off and sat in a tree. i saw nothing all morning. at 9:30 my dad texted me asking me if i had seen anything and i said no. no soon er did i put my phone in my pocket i looked behind me and at 30 yards was a deer. it moved its head and i lost my breath. He saw me stand and grab my rifle and ran about 20 yards away and stood behind a beech tree facing strait away. well he still did not know what for sure i was so he took a half step to the left and looked back at me exposing his neck and that was all my 270 needed. i settled my cross hairs on the center of his neck and squeezed. he dropped right there and never moved NO GROUND SHRINKAGE. What do you think he will go. he is 17 inside and 19 outside.

That's a dandy buck. Got to love the antler restriction in PA, I do. I'd guess 120's.

Great to see that their are still true hunters out there. Not just dear slayers. Shoot what ever they see.
Great deer son. You should be proud of yourself.
