I don't have one yet but this coming weekend I'm setting in an area that likely has a few. I haven't been there in about 4 years so hopefully I remember correctly. Anyways, can I put a fisher on a fox board? I see that the dimensions are about the same. Also, are they skinned the same way or is there some particular things that are different? I was planning on using a leaning pole set with beaver meat for bait and maybe a call lure. Any thoughts on this?

You may want to re think your fisher trapping excursion. The season on them closed December 10th. In fact, depending on which regions you are in, ALL land trapping closed on December 10th. For future reference though, yes they are skinned just like a fox and you can put them on fox boards if you don't have a fisher board. The leaning pole set works well but I have better luck with a regular 'ole dirt hole set, that way I can catch any fox or 'yote that comes along as well!

HaHa, sorry about that Wayne. I was looking at the wrong season map. I can scout for next year though. The excursion is for beaver so any other sets are just a bonus that I put in. I know there is an abundance of yotes in the area. So maybe I could throw in a few dirtholes for them with this thaw we are having. In this area they are open until Feb. Thanks for your help.

Just didn't want to see you get in trouble. Good luck with the beaver!
