HOw long can I leave an animal before I skin i in this weather?

Depends on the animal...Coyotes bellies turn green fast from the stomach acids. I wouldn't leave them more than 12 hours, especially if the area is warm. Fox are about the same, but don't turn quite as fast & coon can certainly wait a day if needed.

Well, I have a yote to skin, but I need to wait until morning. SHould be ok with this weather, yes?

It may be ok,But will be NO fun to skin,,just warning ya..Try to lay it on its back to keep the pressure off the stomach area.. J Nothing worse to skin than a cold yote,,,LOL

Well, I made the time and skinned her out. My first one, it took my 90 min!!!! Good lord those are some tough animals. I need a bath now.

LMAO!!! I hear ya. After skinning the first couple each year, my hands do the same thing..... 90 minutes for your first isn't that bad, especially if you didn't put any holes in him...
Last night when I showed up to the fur shed to skin, my partner had already skinned tho Yote that I caught, although, he broke one of the gambrels in the process. We use the choker chain style and he broke both chokers while he was pulling on the front shoulders....... I made out easy, I had to repair the chokers while he finished skinnin'...

I catch maybe 1 or 2 coyotes each year just to say I did it. Thats enough for me. I hate skinning them. I'll leave them for the Zagman to have fun with.

this is the only way to skin a yote this skinning machine really saves the old back and hands its so easy my kid wants to skin every thing and i get out of it ya got to love it
