i have some dried pelts i wanted to get tanned, but need to wait until later in the summer at least. i don't have a freezer big enough to put them in. could i put them in a large garbage bag or something to keep the bugs off? or would this cause the fur to slip?

As long as they are kept cool & dry (and away from bugs) they should be fine. Moisture & humidity will cause them to mold and that will be just as bad as bugs so try to avoid plastic.

You could use a fur bag but spray the bag with raid or some bug spray and check it once in a while for bugs. Jim
