Alright friends. Here is my question. Here is what happens when I read too much. DEC suggest that you seal the beaver through the nostrils but the FHA template says to cut the nose and whiskers off when you put the beaver up. Ok, what do I do?

YEah but do I cut the nostrils and whiskers off then? Or are they left on?

I cut mine off...won't hurt to leave them on, but it makes the pelt look neater I think.

Cut the nose and whiskers off. Helps dry the beaver faster and does not count in the overall measurement when sizing beaver. Beaver are measured length plus width. Cheers Jim

Ok I cut them off. Pelt is tacked up and drying. We will see how it comes out. First one is always the hardest, right?
