From Dave Miller....
A2153 Mr. Englebright/S861Senator Marcellino ---- would require signage at all recognized points of entry on all municipally owned property where trapping is allowed to inform the public that trapping is allowed and to take appropriate precautions A3007 Mr Barclay --- Would exempt snowmobiles used primarily for hunting, fishing and trapping from certain additional registration fees A3022 Mr Benjamin --- Prohibits raising and charging a fee for trapping fox, otter, beaver and muskrat for sport. And another, A6920 Mr. Kavanagh. A twin to the above A3400 Mr. Englebright --- Defines boygripping trap as any trap that grasps any part of an animals body, increases set backs from buildings and creates setbacks from roads. This is a very restrictive bill and I am more concerned about it than any other. A4777 Mr Englebright --- This is the municipal authority bill the same as Mr. Grannis had before his "conversion". A5381 Mr Englebright --- Another bill dealing with trapping on public land, quite restrictive and some severe penalties OK so it's not all bad news A5956 Mr Magee/2622 Senator Valesky --- Would allow an assigned i.d. number as an option to the presently required name and address on trap tags A6089 Ms DelMonte --- allows the dept. to set regulations for the use of cable restraints

Move to NYC and bring about 500,000 trappers with you...oh wait, we don't have that many It's hard to remove the Democrats from the City and even if we did, whomever they bring in would still be just as bad because they'd be representing their constituents whom are anti-outdoors for the most part.

If this Mr. Englebright is from the city...why is he introducing leg. pertaining to trapping?? I am sure there is no trapping allowed in the city right?
He should stick to parking meters and sewers.

I have contacted all my legislature on this and the anit-gun bills coming up. Have not heard back from anyone. Makes me question what kind of democracy this really is.

Maybe we should send them an email saying that we would like to give them some money to get re-elected and see if they answer!!

Albany isn't in session right now...as of last year it would have passed the Senate, but not enough support in the Assembly

Am I miss-reading the reg book? It states" You must put your name and address OR your DEC customer id number (ie., your back tag number) on all your traps. So, aren't we already able to use our id # on trap tags?

The ID number Bill was approved 2 years ago, this will be the 3rd season where you can use your DECALS number if you choose instead of your address
