It was the fall of 1962,I had been trapping and had a few furs ready to sell. A friend told me that there was a couple of trappers outside of town and they would buy fur. Friday evening after school I packed my fur ,two muskrats, two mink ,and a coon and headed out. It was dark when I got there. I knocked on the door and was invited in. They bought my fur and I noticed a couple of foxes on the floor of the camp. I asked ; How do you catch a fox? I was told you use a dirt-hole set. I asked; Whats a dirt-hole set? one man said to the other one get a flashlight and we all went outside. The one man held the light and the other demonstrated a dirt-hole set for me. The man holding the light was Gene Rheome, the man demonstrating the dirthole set was E.J. Dailey. Mr. Dailey also gave me a half a bottle of his fox lure when I left. Hope you liked it Ed

Yes Sir, I was the little brat running around the Sunday fur buying meet stepping on everyone's feet.
The fur buyer was Glen Monroe I believe, and Gene Rheome was my grandfathers secretary.
