I have a terrible time with mice in my fur shed. They raise all kinds of cain and damage. Finally came across the repeating mouse trap: Take a 5 gallon plastic bucket, run a wire through the center of a soda can, and run it across the top of the bucket. Smear peanut butter on the can and lay a small plank up to the top of the bucket. Fill the bucket half full of water. The real trick in my opinion is to mix the water 50 -50 with auto anti freeze. You will take mouse after mouse . They leap for the peanut butter, the can spins, and they fall into the water and drown. Anti Freeze prevents water from freezing no matter how cold it gets in the fur shed or your camp. I don't like the odor of the RV antifreeze and use Prestone, but that's my choice.

Just plain water works fine. If it freezes they still can't get out. Saw this exact "trap" my first trip to "deer camp" , about 32 years ago. d@mn I am getting old.

Guys have used the same trap for rats (not muskrats) at my work years ago before I worked here.

i like my mouse trap the best... when i go to feed the horses in the evening and forget to snap the grain lid shut....i reach my hand in the next morning still half asleep and end up grabbing a mouse...lol....
They make good bait though!!!!
