I've done about a half dozen Beavers now in the past couple years. Each one gets a little easier. The one I did tonight, I wasn't able to get to yesterday. It skinned and FLESHED so much easier!!! So my tip would be to let your Beaver sit for a day before skinning and fleshing it! Also use a double handle fleshing knive; don't mess around trying to do it all with a hog scraper.

I have found with coon that they flesh a bit easier if you let them cool after you skin them. let the fat get solid and it scrapes off real easy. Probably the same concept with the beaver.

for beaver make sure u have a quality fleshing knife, like a necker or a zepf. the hardest part is around the tail. and a good sharp hog scraper can be used to clean around the head and leg holes.
