a feisty grey giving me the "come hither" look ;D nice way to start out the day: first check, very dosile fisher taken about 250 yards from the cabin had one yote this morning that was caught by a toe and a half....ive chosen to go the club route for dispatch to minimize the blood. i pulled up to see a large yote leaping about 5' in the air in all directions in the catch circle. i don the club, yote jumps to opposite side, i took one step in the circle and here she came showing teeth. i guess i fanned once or twice as my trapping partner came riding up on his machine.....it'll be a while till that story goes away ;D never been that close to a pogo'ing yote with a nasty disposition. funny part was about halfway through the week we noticed rats everywhere in the wet fields. so we set for them cause we were going out to the yote sets anyway.... probably make more off the scrats than the yotes/greys/coons/mink/fisher

I thumped my 1st coyote, not ever again, I value my extremities. I use a sledgehammer handle for everything else, all the 'yotes get a .22 short in the ribs. They don't bleed very much, if at all, when there's no exit hole. If you hit them right they go down like a ton of bricks and don't move again. Nice fisher, was he caught before, during or after the snow?
