Nice way to end the season Some wooden clothes pinds on the noses will keep them from sliding

Sounds like a pretty nice creek with that many rats from a short section. Did this connect to a bigger flow or swamp? Mind me asking what county you're in?

Wayne is right on with the clothes pins.....It's a simple step, and really makes a difference...

Ive always had better luck using a 12 penny nail through the nose and tucked inside than a clothes pin just my 2 cents.

Jim.. its just a little ditch that runs in to a small creek. There are alot of cattails and soft soil in and along the ditch. It doesn't stay wet all year, just in the spring. I'm in St. Lawrence county. I was going to use some clothes pins but didn't. Next year I'll do somthing like that. Thanks for the advice though guys!! It was a pretty productive little stream!! I was really surprised to get that many in such a short period of time!!

Nice job, good rat spots seem to be getting harder to find nowadays, sounds like a keeper.
