I just recently shot a wonderful grey fox. I skinned it and fleshed it as good as I could. I noticed that tey have a saddle like mink have. I got off as much as I dare. It was really geting hard to not rip the hide..It dried very well. Should I be concerned about it?? first time I ran accross it.

Nope, don't worry about it. As long as the fat underneath it came out you'll be fine

Thats the thing the cowboys put on the horse before riding them...no difference with the fox...just a little smaller is all.
