I used to fish the Salmon River in Pulaski every year. I haven't been up there in 3-4 years though. RookieTrap said it was posted under the bridge. Why? Is that the bridge behind Salmon River Sportshop? I was thinking of planning a trip up there this fall but if everything is getting posted, sounds like a long drive for nothing. Can anyone share other places in the area? Tips on clean places to stay near the river would be nice too. Thanks!

There still plenty of river to fish...It's not the bridge behind the sport shop its quite aways past that! Do remeber a store named Fat Nancy's on the main drag in pulaski? They re did the store and it's huge now! I'm sure they could help you find a good place to stay they have a website www.fatnancys.net/There's some smaller creeks near there that hold steelhead Sandy Creek & Little Sandy Are Good there's a bunch more; If your interested in the smaller streams that hold steelhead let me know I can give you some more info

Went to Oswego River Saturday and the river is still WAY UP! Would hold off if anyone is considering. Also took some casts at the mouth of Grindstone Creek at Selkirk Shores State Park; we didn't get anything but the guys were out trolling near shore with planer boards...Probably after browns. Friend of mind heard that guys were hammerin browns in 5ft of water at dawn just outside Oswego Harbor. Anyone that fishes Bullhead the Small Channel at the Mouth of Grindstone Creek (Selkirk Shores) looked Perfect probably could fill a bucket with yellow bellies!
