Deer seasons around the corner. I'm using nap spitfires now and the've worked fine. But so many friends and co-workers are pushing Rage broadheads. Question: 2 or 3 blade? The 2 blade is the hyped model. I read in a forum and a co-worker said the 3 blade were outsourced to another company. And recalled with improved 3's on the market now? Any truth in that?

BECAREFUL!!!!! The local ECO in my area will write you a ticket for using the new RAGE BROADHEADS..when they are in the closed position they set below the neck where it stops at the arrow...it stays barbed,,,look at them and you will see...I have been warned about this...so I am passing it along to you!!!!!!
The ECO I know very well!!!

2 blade are legal and 3 blade isn't. They do tests by pulling them out of something to see if they stay barbed. The 2 blade will fold forward when pulled out. The 3 blade won't and are barbed with the blades pushed in. Also G5 expendables are illegal. I personally use 3 blade Muzzy 100 gr. Entry Exit 2 minutes into the southern bow season. Quartering away at 4 yards. Entered behind the shoulder and exit right through the opposite shoulder. 60 Pound Hoyt Vipertec with aluminum arrows. The end result.

Its not ganders fault...I still feel that the two blade is ileagle...If you read and look at the pages in the book it shows a barb below the end of the top of the arrow...The ECO in my area already said he will write tickets for this....

NOW I AM MAD!!!! Heres what the dec sent me Derek, The Rage 3 broadhead does not seem to retract consistently and therefore may act as a barbed broadhead. Barbed broadheads are illegal for big game hunting in NY, but our laws and regulations do not prohibit barbed broadheads for turkey, coyote, or small game. Sincerely, Jeremy Hurst Jeremy Hurst Wildlife Biologist and we have 8 hours till season stare
