Hey does anyone have a recomendation for a good call for Coyote/Fox hunting. I bought a tape that plays the sounds of a dying rabbit! It's very erie! I heard Coyotes goin nuts one night so I ran out, turned the tape up to full blast and let it play for a half hour. Never saw em' heard though, sounded like they ran across the street!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hands down...red fox in distress call, Ive shot a pile of reds using it....while you have to have canines present to have success the most important part of calling is your set up...you have to get in without being detected, this applies for your vehicle as well!!!

I'm not much of a predator hunter Mike, where would you find a red fox in distress? I've heard of gray fox, coon and birds, etc. never a red though. Makes sense, especially for coyotes!

Wayne, Johnny stewart makes one thats effective...takes a little practice to get good with it....dennis kirk sells a tape called " the red fox in distress" and I have taken a lot of reds off that tape...
For some reason the reds are really attracted to it, coyotes to..but their a whole nother ballgame.
