Thank you for the notice. Same time I visited your website and analyzed last years auction sale results. Disputeless the point to kill an animal for a profit I've got surprised by the low and average costs fur been sold. Does anybody can find profitable to catch, skin, dry, bring to an auction a beaver for $1.00, red fox, mink, muskrat, racoon for 50 cents , coyote for $2.00 . Really ? You don't consume such animals flesh, so the fur is the only reason we trap/kill them ( with extreme exclusion cases where a beaver became a nuisance animal and have to be removed from a property) , C'mon 21st Century people/trappers, NYS residents - does it worth to do ? Does such activity provides you with a real addition to your pocket ? I'm open to hear your opinion.

Sounds like a ruskie hacker To hand on a label is much easy than to respond materially. This is a FORUM, American forum where different people suppose to share their opinions. outlooks, ideas openly without having a chance to be labeled. I think so.

Does such activity provides you with a real addition to your pocket ? I'm open to hear your opinion. If you have to ask why we do what we do, you are not a trapper. One more time - trapping is a religion, a philosophy, a life style. With aging people become not only older but wiser and smarter and start asking questions, at least to themselves : why I'm doing that? for what reason ? Is nowadays trapping a way of socializing ? Is such activity delivers more fun, more income, more enjoyment ? What is my agenda as a modern trapper ? Do I kill animals for what ? Look at your friends joint picture : who wears fur hats, fur jackets, fur gloves Something human being supposes to do for a reason . Trapping ( 21-st Century) we are doing for what purpose? Tell me please, that is the Forum's purpose. I have 16 tanned skins of beaver, 3 otters, 2 fishers, numberless racoons and dozen of muskrats - all tanned, ready to be used for something real. I cannot sell them on an auction because the tanning process itself costed me $35-$40 per skin. Nobody is sewing anything from natural fur anymore, at least here in NYC. That is why I'm asking you - my fellows trappers : what is the reason to trap( kill) innocent animals ( furbearers) in 2023 ?
