Hello everyone. First off I would like to say I am new to the forum and thank you for the add. Have grown up in southern WI trapping most of my life. Uncle Sam decided that Fort drum would be a great place for me to go. I would love to try and trap at least one marten to say that I have done so. I am going to give it a shot and hope for the best. I am just looking for anyone that is willing to provide some tips and assistance. I am not looking for anyone's spot just general recommendations on how to trap and what to look for. I have fisher so plan on either setting running poles or boxes with 155s. I plan on starting down towards Morehouse and black river forest and working my way up towards 5 ponds wilderness. If anyone traps near these areas and would like to shoot me a PM on tips that would be great. Any information would be greatly appreciated and hopefully can post later in the season with some success.

I watched a lilot of trapping videos on YouTube on Fisher & Martin trapping. We will be up in the inlet/old Forge area for a couple of days in November and will set some cubbies and leaning poles for Martin up there. Last year we set a few traps in the southern zone for fishers and caught two of them. This year we will get more serious in to trapping..
