well Bobby, you certainly did all you could on this one. We'll see where all the chips land soon enough. Just lemme know which day is the official opener up there, I'll arrive on your doorstep the night before with truck gear-laden and we'll strategize before launching the dual-threat at dawn. Do you want the bow seat in my canoe? I'm used to running the trolling motor from stern end.
tomorrow you can go back to worrying about where your buddy Boco is. You do realize we both met him at the same time at the NTA show up in Hamburg, right? When you & I worked the NYSTA table together greeting people thru the door, he entered with one of his kids... daughter I think but can't recall for sure now. He muttered something to me, recognized you and slunk off into the crowd.
I recall him being about 5'4" high x 5'4" wide at the time. I'd hesitate to put him in the other end of your canoe and try to paddle out of Port Ontario to the concrete stairs with a stiff west wind on your tail. That would not end well. Or dry.

It's the day after the expiration of the 60 day comment period which started the day the rule change was secretly posted on the NYS Register on June 3rd, 2020.
There was never any mention from the NYSTA Board of Directors to the Rank- In-File NYSTA Membership giving us a heads up that this was coming nor any warning from our vaunted payed lobbyist in Albany.
If our NYSTA Leaders knew anything about this attempted theft of part of our Northern Zone muskrat season, They played their cards close to the vest and kept their membership in the dark.
I'm now convinced that NTSTA B.O.D gave their tacit approval and support to the DEC, Bureau of Wildlife to go ahead with this betrayal of trust plot to rob Northern Zone muskrat trappers of their most productive week of their rat season.
I've belonged to NYSTA because I've always had complete confidence & trust that this organization had my back, and had my best interests in mind when dealing and negotiating with DEC, Bureau of Wildlife.
I no longer have that blind trust, and It will take some convincing to change my mind.
If we can't rely on NYSTA to act on our behalf with the DEC, Bureau of Wildlife we trappers are in real trouble as a outdoor demographic in this State.

Are you considering a run for NYSTA President's position, Bobby? I think you would make a fine politician. You definitely have the knack for using 500 words to say what 50 words would accomplish

Bob would do a better job as President of the NYSTA than you did for the "United Trappers".

I am far from being anti social...I just prefer to not socialize with posers, thieves, bsers and any person that stabs me in the back. I can care less if anybody likes me or not, I tell it like I see it and if it offends somebody I don't really care. The people that actually take the time to get to know me know that I am very generous and I will go out of my way to help those in need. I have let many people even shoot some nice deer on my property over the years, I believe Nyrat's kid got his first deer in my yard. Bob and I bust balls on here but when we see each other in person we tend to shake hands and continue to bust balls in person...I will be looking forward to rowing Bob around the great marshes along Lake Ontario this year and I will take many pics for you Austin..just to let know what you missed out on.

#2: Why have you created more aliases for this site alone than every other user who has ever passed thru here, all combined?

Only because I tell it like it is....and most likely you will have an excuse as to why you won't make it up north....but then again you were going to move to Iowa or something?

btw... how's your case of the china-virus progressing? I know it takes six-eight weeks or more to recover from that, sucks you gotta self-quarantine at home while contagious all that time. Be nice if you could go fishing, etc if you were healthy and not sick. But hang in there, couple - few more weeks it'll be safe for you to rejoin society again.

I was quarantined from july 10th till the 24th. I have been out fishing every day starting the 25th. I have fully recovered and in fact I will be on Skaneateles lake at dawn tomorrow hooking into some nice Smallmouth Bass and Perch, just as I was last evening. Next week Bob and I will be out on my boat fishing Chaumont Bay and planning the great Muskrat harvest 2020......I will take some pics for you.

I think you might be slipping into a psychotic, self delusional episode. Just because I stated I would partner-up with you for rat trapping before I'd do anything with Arstin Possumonte' doesn't automatically mean we will be rat trapping from the same boat come October 25th. Lay off the crack-pipe and get a grip on reality, dude. w

It might be Nov 1st...I will have to attach the ice breaking equipment to the front of the boat. Make sure you bring a EPIRB onboard each day that we can deploy during the emergency so it will mark by satellite the location of your corpse. You'll be needing Type I Coast Guard approved PFD's so you'll float and they won't have to drag for the body. Did you ask baldy if he wants to tag along ? Might as well kill two, aaahh, well, you know the thing !!! w

btw who pulled over and helped you fix the laggard wheel on your canoe trailer in Little Sandy Creek parking lot? At the expense of his own rat-trapping time on the water?
who also helped you lug your heavy-a** canoe up ALL flights of concrete stairs at the Port Ontario public access parking lot off Rt 3?
wuhanrat would have never in the history of ever considered doing any of that.

I am not like you and I don't need to post pics of every fish I catch or every piece of fur I catch. I have no reason to promote myself for attention like you do.

wuhanrat... hunters, trappers, fishermen, treasure hunters, mushroom hunters, beekeepers, maple syrup boilers, ginseng hunters, flint knappers, etc post pictures of their success for the benefit of others who enjoy seeing like kind of their hobbies and pursuits. If nobody shared pictures of their results in ALL these (and other) past times via social media, print media, aged technology such as this... who the hell would ever tune in or connect to begin with? Can you imagine magazines without pictures? TV shows without pictures = videos footage? YouTube without videos?
LOLOL... you are the double-page centerfold image for the slang term "tool"

good looking fish, Joe. I love Oneida lake... wish I lived closer. Pulled a few sunset limits of walleyes off the wall in Sylvan this May. Gonna hit them a bit harder next spring there, for sure.
close friend of mine has a place on Pt Peninsula just south of the old store there. Neighbors were catching walleyes off the shoreline back then, too. So many places, so little time. If I buy a camp up north anywhere, pry be in that general Chaumont area.

The eastern basin of Lake Ontario, its tributaries, Oneida Lake, etc......arguably one of the Top Five fisheries in the US, and maybe beyond....
From native brookies, to all the salmon and trout in the lake, to giant smallmouths and walleyes, perch through the ice, and the next World Record Musky in the St Lawrence.....heck, we even have Europeans come here to have giant carp tournaments!
While I don't take advantage of the fishing opportunities that I used to, it's right here for the taking. I hang around with FAR more fish guys locally than trapping guys.....heck, I'm about the only redneck I know that doesn't fish weekly.
