Hey Folks,
I'm 72 and life aint easy. I've had to move out of my place in VA to be closer to grandchildren and to stop working so d@mn hard in life. Everything is going well except my old dog. No place up here will let me keep her. I can't buy a whole home because I can't afford it and no condo's or coops near my grandchildren accept full size dogs. It's a shame because she's been my companion for 12 years now. To look at her you'd think she was 8. Longer story short, I need a place for her to live.
Babe is her name and she's a 12yr old vibrant senior English Coonhound in perfect health. Took her to the vet and they said she's the best dang looking 12yr old coonhound they've ever seen. If she was on her last legs I'd wait it out but the place I'm staying is a nightmare so I need to find her a place to live out her years.
She hunts by herself at night. I don't follow her up in the woods but I hear her treeing. She's got it in her for sure.
She likes ice cream, coffee, heck... anything you're eating, she'll eat. She likes to lay on the floor or the couch or anywhere you are. Babe is mainly a companion, friend and good girl.
She'd be good for an old lady who has a house and yard. She'd be good as a first dog. My grandson hangs on her, grabs her, and she puts up with it all. She's really good with kids.
I don't want to take her to the SPCA. Not one bit but I also don't know what else to do. I've got to get out of where I'm staying but can't until I figure this out.
Help please. Help me find her a good place. I'll give you a gigantic bag of food, and a few bucks for future food if you'd like. I'm not made of money or a sucker but I really do want the best for her as she's proven to be a great dog. I don't know how to attach a picture here but she's a good looking, big eared, proper, papered, redtick'd English Coonhound.
Thanks,
Sandra.
