Can someone please explain to me this note re MB-550-RC Coil Spring Trap (Double Coiled):
If you are not planning on 4-coiling your MB-550-RC's it is strongly recommended that you cut the excess spring pins off leaving 1/2" protruding from the frame.

I been using double coiled on & off for the last 35 years and never modified them... am I missing something? Thanks guys!
