if a petition worked to get the dec fur management team to the table on an other issue, by only a couple of people claiming to represent a whole region..... could we as an association and with individual stakeholder names petition them to sit down at the table with nysta and jti, in regard to the management plans concerning fisher, marten and otters.... put what they want on the table out in the light of day, on all three, for everyone to see clearly, then work through all this crap with an outcome, in something that will be beneficial for everyone, without over encumbering either side or restricting us out of business, existence, lifestyle and heritage to the best of their and our abilities....
we have the perfect opportunity for gathering signatures at the conventions as stakeholders, or even supplement petition here on line even, if legal, for people who couldn't or cant attend the conventions... if there's a chance it would work...
we should be afforded the opportunity and knowledge of what were up against and not find out... like in how the health care act in congress was enacted, as an example... at the very least the fisher plan was multiple choice without knowing what was and could be enacted... we do have a right to know as actual stakeholders... don't we? and we should be afforded an honest chance at the table to work through problems as stakeholders in these plans as represented by our true trapping association nysta... just a thought... jim
