Is that how the headline will read???.....Probably not. But that is what is going to occur. No limits in the Catskills and ample public land. Maine regulations are becoming to restrictive and the Adirondacks will also be. So now trappers want to catch fishers???.....Go figure, don't need a masters degree to figure this out.

Really makes you wonder how many fisher have to occupie a area before its consider a sustainable population,I'm from the southern zon 7 m and can't go into any woods or around beaver flow without seeing or finding fisher sign, most every deer hunter has watched fisher or seen sign while hunting..so with a population like this we get a 9 day season and 1 fisher limit ...So with my observations and the professional studies done by our superiors leads me to believe....Chappy you must have a fisher population comparable to Zaggers coyote population, like flies in a barn yard.

Ill be down in Roscoe in June for a long weekend flyfishing trip for my Dad's birthday. Looks like I'll be scouting a fisher line during the heat of the day when the hatches slow down. Make room at the trough fellas.

coyote prices best they've been in awhile......stop in CNY, run a quick money-making coyote line in Coyote Nirvana (watch for the coyote crossing signs) and then head to the Fisher Disneyland of the Catskills..........you will be rolling in dough, and as you all know, its EASY to catch 200 coyotes and 100 fisher in NY..........just read to books from the experts!

"bob you can stay at the house if ya want to. we have a spare room. nothing fancy but your welcome to it. glad to hear the fate is brewing !!" brother Brushwolf
Dear Brother Brushwolf, That's awfully kind of you BUT.....over the years I've been accused of acquiring a "distinct funk" after trapping fisher for a week or so. Mamma says its smells like money to her, but most folks at the Cumberland Farms, where I get gas everyday, make weird faces and usually mumble something about stinks and skunks as they make haste getting away from me and the Jeep. I value your friendship, therefore, I better opt for the camper as to not offend your family or neighbors in case they find out about that "stinking" rumor. Regards

No, Simmons Rockwell was before my time doing timber frames. Are you doing the stain work on the Catskills visitors center Dale? I'll make a trip over to see it in June if thats the case.
