Ive never seen a pup.Hard for me to understand or fathom why they were denned or poisoned back in the day.

they get killed on the road now because vixens are moving them from birthing dens to rearing dens, and they get dropped on the roads in front of on-coming traffic.
this is also one reason why I've always balked at ADC work. There is absolutely no way I could remove a den from beneath someone's porch or shed and dispose of the pups. Nor could I have ever been one of the old-time den diggers back in the day. Just not something I'm wired to do.

As bad as this is probably gonna sound...my parents have a big lilac tree in front yard that is a good cover....me and the old man used to lay behind it with the dog squeaker and not move and them pups would come close enough you could smell their breath....after awhile mom would come back and make the pups hit the den again but was a real cool experience....gotta love country living

Austin, I have never trapper fox during the summer! I persuade the homeowner to wait until she moves the pups, then I do an exclusion! Have yet to be called back that they were under shed or deck !

bob, that'd be me too. I've seen pictures on FB from different ADC guys holding red fox pups removed from urban residence areas. Heck, I'd welcome as many fox families in my yard as would opt to live here. Only danger they'd have is Holly bringing them in the house and curling up on the couch with her

Have seen on golf courses over the years the pups start out close to buildings and people and move into cover as they get bigger. noticed litters moved almost daily around the property, culvert pipes , rock piles, old implements ,old chuck holes.
