Sorry I didn't finish my first post. But Bud Boda who has a handful of trapping books. I have seen them in the F&T magazines. He was a great guy. I knew him for a lot of years. Mostly in the street rod realm. But he was a trapper as well. Growing up he and my father were good friends and I learned years back that he knew my great grandfather. They met in a very, well kinda scary way. My great grandfather was also a trapper and was out checking his traps when he broke the ice and ended up in the water. He was unable to get back out. bud happened to be out checking traps in the same area and helped him out of the ice. That started their friendship. I never met my great grandfather but I heard stories about him and their trapping day from Bud. I was saddened to learn of Bud's passing on Friday. Just wanted to let everyone know about the loss of a great, and cratchity old trapper, wrestling coach, and street rodder. Reunited with his old trapping buddy in heaven.
