Yup, Remember Last license year when Andy Cuomo was gonna give us all a break on Our Licenses with his: "New York Open for Hunting/Fishing/Trapping" Campaign ? Then He did away with the Trapper Super Sportsman and Super Sportsmen Licenses and raised the prices for everything. And lets not forget all his help with the NY SAFE ACT. He's Really Bending The Outdoor Sportsmen Over these days. Too Bad so Many Trappers, Hunters, and Fishermen sit apathetically on the side lines and abrogate their Responsibility as Citizens of Our Great Republic by not voting at all Please Remember to thank ANDY CUOMO at the Election Polls in November and Lets Send him on a LONG, PERMANENT VACATION !! Vote Astorino, and more importantly, get some other Outdoor Sportsmen Fence Sitters and NON-VOTERS to vote For ASTORINO as well. Maybe we could even persuade Austin to Cast his Dusty Ballot and Vote this time around. w

But Cuomo is giving us a check this fall! Talk about smoke and mirrors. How coincidental the "check" is coming right before the election.

You're welcome. For the money, that is. We no longer have anyone in our household young enough to qualify us for the check, but we're footing the lion's share of the bill.

I have been hearing nothing but horror stories this year with licenses. Man I'm so glad my dad convinced me back when I was 18 to go for the lifetime, even went half with me! If anyone was ever thinking of getting one I would highly recommend it, depending on age of course. Just sit and wait for it to arrive in the mail, plus free dmp's!

Ya having lifetime license is great , had it for 8yrs for the last 3yrs I have had to call them because I've never received it in the mail. So when I call Albany ask them why I never received my lifetime license in the mail. I get oh just go to your local sporting good store and get it. Then they charged me for lost license. So two more phone calls I get my money back. They can't even get that right.

Well my lifetime archery showed up weeks late this year and as a bonus I received another guys tags. All his hunting and turkey tags. Just took them to the regional office Wednesday. So lifetime is great it's the knuckle heads that send them out that is the problem.

Do u have to print trapping and fishing if u buy them from a license location ? I do not have a computer let alone a printer ! I could probably find a way to do it but it sounds like a pain in the arse ! I did the totals the other day I'm saving money only because last yr when I got trappers sportsman it did not include bow so I had to shell out 25 on top of it ! Which is rediculous I'm pretty sure when I started it was 60 for everything !

Why should I pay .33 cents a day after I pay $6,000 in property taxes on land I supposedly own?

Your 100% correct Dale. I know so many that have out lived their earnings. After a lifetime of paying taxes, they are forced to sell the land they paid and worked for because the taxs have increased greater than their fixed income.
Sad really.

I called the DEC Wednesday. Left a message In Olean asking about my lifetime licenses. They have not arrived. Got a message Friday from the Buffalo Office that I needed to talk to Albany Office. Today the Post lady delivered the licenses. Not sure why these are so late coming through but I expect some squirrels will be unhappy on the first of September. Best thoughts imlvt

I just checked out the DEC website to see what it will cost me this season. I can't find any information on the Sportsman License? DID THEY DO AWAY WITH THE SPORTSMAN LICENSE??? If I have to buy everything (hunt, fish, trap, and turkey) separate this year it will cost me $11 more. So much for the "reduced fees".
The governor's "reduced fees" didn't save me anything last year either, as I paid the same amount for the same privileges MINUS the doe tags that I used to purchase. My son gets his doe tags for free under his lifetime license and two tags are enough for us, so I figured I'd tell them to "shove it" in regards to my doe tags.
