does anyone use that full metal jacket trap dip? just curious how you like it and if its worth the money..
i prefer starting my own fire and boiling the traps and then the waxing an all that....
sometimes in middle of season its hard to do all that to clean them up.
(i dont have many traps so when i go somewhere new i like to try and start with fresh traps)

i used it this past season on some new DP's, double coil 1.75's and 110's, DP's didnt hold up too well for whatever reason (were completely rusted by end of season but a vinegar bath fixed that) however the 110's look like they did the day i set them! my guess is with the DP's the coons (caught in them) rubbing the trap on the ground, vegetation, trees, rocks etc wore the full metal jacket off, whereas the 110's dont get that kind of abuse, the leg holds that didnt catch anything looked again like they did day one even though they spent the season in the ground and weather, whereas the ones i did catch critters in started rusting up, again vinegar bath at the end of season fixed issue, (bottom line it works great as long as the traps arent getting rubbed around after a catch, and the K9's didnt seem to mind it as i got a few stink dogs and fox using it) ill continue to use if im in a time crunch but leg holds are getting the old school treatment and DP's and conni's are gonna get a rustoleum/acetone bath, just my observation for one season of use
