Your thought? Are skunk worth the time putting up?? IMHO, I think so. Father Rockwood bought all mine last season and payed Hard Cash Money !! Also Heard the Dwarf Beaver Trapper was buying up all the Skunk Essence (Quill) he could get his paws on Last Spring trying to corner the Market in the Perfume Commodities Business. Heard he's out of that Market for now, and moved into the Basket Weaving Business. walleyed

Any predator is worth trapping. The skunks and racoons got into our chicken coop this year and killed several chickens and 4 turkeys.

i skin anything rite down to the sqirrels..its good practice not just for skinning but also for putting the fur up..and if i caught it i skin it no matter what..and skunks got that nice stinky sack that you can take out very carefully lol to make some long distance call to..got quite a few last winter and got descent prices for them..put a few extra bucks on the fur check also

I only caught one last year. If I do catch one in my trap I will definetly put it up and take the essence. I hope I do catch a few.

Any special precautions when trapping skunk? I always wondered but never asked, isn't there a good chance it will spray when approaching it in the trap? And how do you dispatch it? Any special area that wont trigger a spray? Thanks
Just realized someone just asked this question above me...whoops
