I hear the BMI will re-introduce a improved Wolfer soon. Some the best stock jaws ever put on a trap

Inside jaw spread is 4.75"; not a large trap but very quick.

On the wolfers....you must weld a support piece under the cross frame to support the dog end. That is the weak point in the design of that trap. That is why many end up in a "bowl shape" because of the weak base AND the cross. The strong springs jsut want to curl that trap up Look at the bottom one. You can see the piece added to the cross frame. Goes from the main frame out to the post mount. It's 1/8" thick and does the job. The spring tangs rest on the added piece so the extra thickness make the springs tighter, quicker and stronger

You've got my attention! I've got about 10 dozen 1 3/4 (not 4 coil). Some still in the boxes. Love 'em like I don't know what. Would like to replace those straight jaws with offsets though. Last time he was at Herkimer,( maybe 4 or 5 years), he told me the dies were busted and would cost $ 10,000 to fix. Any idea on how I can contact them to buy some of those purtty jaws? Can't seem to get anywhere with my google search. I've got a few 4 coil. Don't think I've ever really needed that extra oomph to hold any measley little 'yote.
