Is there any special time of year all of you order your lures and such for the coming season? Is there a best time or a time to order so everything is fresh and no shortages?
Thanks guys,
Dale

Best time is at a trapping convention when you can swing deals and save on shipping If you can'tmake it to a convention, lures, baits and urines can be bought at anytime of the year.

I never have either, but I do notice that my lures change over time.
I have heard that freezing urine stops the chemical processes in their tracks.

Dear Mr. ecgreen, Freezing urine kills bacteria in it....the urine should be filtered first...coffee filters work good... Regards papabear

Will urine go bad from 1 season to the next if not frozen? I have my oil's and urines in the root celler inside an foam ice chest. Hope there ok?

They're fine, urine can be kept and used without being frozen. It will have a very strong ammonia odor when you 1st open it,but if you leave the cap off for a little bit it will fade. Ijust buy new each year because I don't use much urine and only buy a 16oz bottle each year.

Dear Friend, storing urine, frozen, is not necesary...filtering it and freezing it long enough to kill the bacteria in it wll keep it from going sour....(smelling like sewage).......i also add a quart of glycerine to 3 quarts of urine to slow evaporation...which is also personal preference.....Regards papabear
