Watched all three. Anyone who knows history and follows it will know this series was pretty close with the real facts. Great movie.

I thought so nycoyotehounds,I read a couple books a while back on them and it seemed pretty accurate overall.I'm not a huge Costner fan but he did a pretty good job.Hard to believe that something like that could actually happen,I guess things were a little less civilized back then.LOL

I am glad you put LOL after that last statement, especially after the incident in Florida this week. I worry about our society . . .

Yup,so do I.I guess people are just as violent now as they were back then.Law enforcement handles things a little different nowadays to though. Now they shoot it out in the cities instead of the mountains.LOL

Dear Friends. Very good movie except for way too many commercial breaks... Costner does well in recreating history........When I was younger I spent some time coon and bear hunting in some of them southern W.Va mountians...I got to meet some pretty colorfull individuals on my visits....I wouldnt rule out that there maybe a "Devil Anse" or two still living in them thar hills...lol.... Regards papabear

Really enjoyed the series. Television is such an insult to our intelligence. We need more of this and the "Roots' type documentaries. How many crabs can you watch on Deadliest Catch or Alligators on "Swamp People? I think Costner is a very good actor and he did a good job in this role. West Virginia and Kentucky are a different world, even today.

I watched the Mtn. show. Thought it was good. Looking forward to the guy in Alaska running his trap line. Reminds me of a guy I watch on YouTube "TheWildNorth" who runs a trap line in the North West Territories I believe.

Looking forward to watching it. DVR'd it because its been a busy week. You can also go to the History Channel website and watch it online, that's how I watched it actually. I watched that mountain man show last night,it was ok.Not the best as of yet but hopefully gets better as it goes on.It is actually good to see the shows that are popular currently,a lot of the shows drawing viewers are along the swamp people vein.
