For those of us who can't remember things as well as we used to, is there a place we can go to find out when and where the rondys and conventions are this year? I know that I would attend more if I had the advanced notice and I'm sure others would as well. Just a thought.

My schedule for this summer's conventions is as follows, anyone wanting to tag along is welcome, give me a call for arrangements. I will also pick up supplies from the dealers at these conventions for anyone wanting to save shipping costs.
1. Fur Takers of America National Rendezvous; Vanderburgh 4-H Center 14-16 June 2012 Evansville, Indiana
2. New York Summer Fur Rondy; Nichols Pond 06-07 July 2012 Fenner, New York
3. National Trappers Association 53rd Annual Convention; Steel County Free Fairgrounds 02-05 August 2012 Owatonna, Minnesota
4. Sportsman's Rendezvous; Cattaragus County Fairgrounds 10-12 August 2012 Little Valley, New York
5. New England Trapper's Weekend; Neil Olsen's Place 23-25 August 2012 Bethel, Maine
6. New York State Trappers Association Convention; Herkimer County Fairgrounds 30 August - 01 September 2012 Frankfort, New York
7. Vermont Trappers and Sportsman Rendezvous; Barton County Fairgrounds 07-08 September 2012 Barton, Vermont
8. Check with Charlie Lamb on this one, the Oswego County Trappers usually have thier gathering at Camp Zerby the weekend of 14-16 September 2012. I have my calendar marked out for going there that weekend unless there are changes.
Again, anyone wanting to tag along, give me a call to make arrangements, get to meet some very interesting trappers, see whats out there, pick up supplies direct from the larger dealers, go to demos, dinners, and have a good time.

It's not New Yorks convention, but usually one worth attending.....
The Pennsylvania Trappers Convention will be held in Clearfield County Fair Grounds from June 21st untill June 24th.

I only listed the conventions I was able to attend. I wish PA convention was sometime other than our graduation weekend. Next year I'll be able to make that one, my youngest one (number 8) graduates this year and will be going to college for five years in the United Kingdom (England). The St Lawrence Convention is one of the best from what I"ve been told, but that is the weekend I have to leave for the NTA Convention in order to make deliveries and still set up in the building the day before the convention offically opens. Next year when the NTA Convention is back in Lima Ohio, I hope to make it to St. Lawrence. Any convention you can make is worth going to, the demos are always good, dealers and tailgaters are everywhere, food is good, and most important is the chance to renew old friendships, and talk with trappers from other areas. If you can only make it to only one convention, I would highly recommend our NYSTA Convention, we have one of the largest turnouts and perhaps the most larger dealers in the trap supply business.
