Myself and the Beaver Princess went on a MOONLIT midnight McKenzie Driftboat Cruise Early this Saturday morning between Jefferson Park and Stoney Creek on Lake Ontario. We Launched on a Private Sandy Beach, and Rowed north in 30 feet of water and came back south in 6 feet of water. Sometime around 12:15AM we hit a double and the Princess cranked in a nice Brown Trout and a nice walleye. Then the wind came up hard out of the north and blew us off the Lake. Just a short trip but we didn't get skunked. Size #18 Rapala in Orange/Gold took the Brown and a Black/Silver Size #18 Rapala took the walleye. Thanks for looking. walleyed

Very cool. Were you casting the Rapala's or just towing them behind the boat?

Very cool. Were you casting the Rapala's or just towing them behind the boat? Just towing them behind the boat while rowing. It's a Modified McKenzie Driftboat used for Steelhead fishing on creeks and rivers. Oar powered and very Stealthy & Quiet. Perfect for whacking Trophy or eater sized walleye at night. I wouldn't trust the Beaver Princess casting rapalas with three SHARP dangling treble hooks casting after dark as I'm sure my SCALP would pay dearly for it. LOL walleyed

Most of the guys at the marina where I work on Oneids Lake ----limited out ----this morning---they were throwing 3/8 oz. jigs---hair and plastic.---dark colored---the water depth was between 6 and 20 feet.----There was a couple of guys who cough nothing.
