Tough to get a catch here. late season here is not very good. No snow. It seems to be a shot in the dark, where to make a set. Granted I have'nt trapped in many years. Was better trapping 25 years ago.
Any help would be great.
Trapping my pond and swamp for rats. Seems to be tough also.

Hey man you are not alone... i have many sets out and walk a few miles a day with very little in the "fur shed" garage, but i learn more and more everyday, and love doing it. That one good day will make up for every day your traps are empty and the exercise doesn't hurt either. AS far as where to make a set??...Only thing i can say is look for sign...tracks in mud, on rocks, run down grass along ponds/creeks, droppings around tree bases or on rocks, or try some attractant, or bait. I wish i could help you out more , but i am still learning myself. Good luck and keep on trying...there is a critter out there waiting to take a ride in your truck...lol.
