I finally worked up the ambition and intestinal fortitude to retrieve, thaw, flesh, and stretch the cache of Stink Kittens loitering in my freezers. This is how they turned out. All are put up as per FurHarvester's Auction specifications on 5 1/4" Inch Fox Boards. Does any body know who or which NYS In-Country Buyers offers the Best prices for Put Up Skunks ??? Thanks for Looking. walleyed

whats on the tails of those two? There was Excessive Grease, Fat, and Oils on the tails of those two. They were dusted down with a Magical Miracle white powder substance known as BORAX. Borax is a "Cureall" for all that ails fur. LOL YOTE.......who says they didn't STINK. I'll be spraying them daily with INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH FEBREZE. LOL walleyed

I have been know to put a nasty skunk pelt in a gasoline bath, it disolves the stink, leaves the pelt with a nice shine, and evaporates off easily. I use the needle now and if you dont get any on the pelt they dont smell too bad. Great put up as always , I have one to do ,I think I will try it on a fox board.

nice put up Bob ! Myself , I have found skunks not to be stinky BUT everyone around tells me -------------they stink , the shed stinks and the vehicle you drive stinks . Matter of fact my good buddy in England calls me Stinky , then again he awarded me the World Champion Farting trophy while I was there . ;D

Nice Job. I think you should get them tanned and sell them on E-bay. Great put up.

You forgot to pleat the tails:) I thought your Mountain Man Buddies who dress up in weird costumes, and chase each other around their TEEPEES in the dark like the LONGTAILED variety ? ;D ;D ;D ;D Perhaps you could intercede on my behalf, as you understand their language and customs better, and parley on my behalf by private treaty to sell these longtailed skunks for top dollar for me for use in their ceremonial customs at their Rendezvous. walleyed

I dont mind puttin up skunks after they have cooled off for a day.Never thought I got scented up too bad as I would skin them in the field, but every time my wife smelled it when I returned home and on more than once I found my boots and coveralls removed from the garage and set outside. She would say,why do you keep trapping them when I told you before not to?This past year I decided it just wasnt worth it.There seems to always be buyers at the local auction that want skunks and they pay a good price for them as they go to speciality market.
