All of my 330 are dukes also and have not had any trouble catching big or small beaver. For the price per dozen they are a great deal. Good luck with yours.

I've been running the Dukes for sometime. I like the old 10"x 10" not the way there making them now. There more like a 320 then a 330. However they still do the job. Good trap for a good price..

The way I look at it -------- a trap is like any other tool ----you usually need more than one size of the --- "same thing" ---- to get the job done wright ---- there for --- if you are going to buy a dozen conni-bears --- I-D ---say get 1/2 dozen 330 Dukes---(a very good trap IMO) -- and 4 of the M.B. --12 by 16's ---and your base's should be covered.--- ( the M.B. 12 by 16 is a great "run" and "hole" covering tool.--- a little heavy--- ( "but I am getting old.")--Good Luck.

I have about 40 330's and half are VICTORS, and the other Half are DUKES.
Both types work well, are reasonably priced, and I can see no discernible difference between the two Models.
They also take and kill Otter just fine as near as I can tell, along with quite a few muskrat incidentally.

If you want to take every thing that goes between the jaws ------and 50% that trys to go over the trap----I-d say buy Belisle - 330 --- or the M B 12 by 16.---they are boath a good leg trap.

I have a few dukes, but I picked up a dozen belisles this year and all my 330s will be belisle from now on. The zero gap took to many beaver by the foot and two by the tail for it not to be something I was missing with the others. I also tried the savage 11x12 this year...great trap...will add these bigger traps also. 12x16mb are another great trap.

srhet you will love the M.B. 12 by 16-----they rely do fill in a lot of "GAPS"---- like I said they do get a little heavy for us eldery fellers.---But out of the boat or truck---they are top shelf----jest monkey with the trigger shape and you will be surprised---same with the 11 by 12.

I used four of the Minnesota Brand MB-12" X 16" Mega Death Body Grippers this fall and they definitely killed the beaver much more deader than dead than any other body grip trap, LOL
along with leaving a serious black WELT in the leather of the pelt that did not disappear when the hide was stretched and dried.
They did work well for covering WIDE and DEEP runs without much extra fencing involved.
The Price Tag of $33.00 dollars per trap unit will leave you gasping and broke.
You can only hope that nobody steals one of them on you.
You can set a Duke 330 most anywhere and nobody will want to steal one. LOL

I was sold on the Dukes when Kaatz bros was selling them at Greenwich regional for $12.50 each.Beaver are just as dead in them as any other conibear type.I also own MB 1216's and Belisle 330's for non theft areas.
