Maybe some sun flower seeds mixed with the PB. Is a 22 out of the question?

Use a large Rat size snap trap, and stick a peanut on it,you will get him. Make sure you are right on location, and be persistent. If that don't work, shoot him in the head like Mole suggested.

If that don't work, shoot him in the head like Mole suggested. But Albert, Then the Red squirrel wouldn't be worth putting up, and sending up to NAFA to sell for Large Cash dollars. ;D ;D ;D ;D walleyed

When I catch the majority of Red Squirrels, there is already a sizeable bounty on them.......and the additional cash you can get from the taxidermy trade, more than makes up for 1.00 ( minus commission ) that fine pelt will bring at NAFA........ ;D

I had problems with squirrels getting into my raspberries this past summer and tried a 5 gal. bucket filled with water and floated peanuts on the top. I also put a board as a ramp from the ground to the top of the bucket. Only problem was that a raccoon got into the bucket at night and cleaned all the peanuts out before I could get the squirrel. If you have coons around, I'd think they might get into the rat traps with peanut butter. I don't have a solution for that one!
