Personally I've never seen K9's eat a mole.....However, I always find them dead and not eaten....I mean they'll sit there forever without anything eating it so I don't know.

Seen a fox and coyotes pounce on moles. Red then threw it in the air and pounced on it again. Red left it for dead and never touched it. Coyotes did same. So ?? Don't know if will work

Cats will not eat them when they catch them, they will play with them but not consume them.Canines are not fond of them either.I would choose something that you know they want to eat not something they are going to turn their nose up to...

I asked Larry the same thing this past year about the moles we seen in the fields, why the fox don't eat them, and he said something about them being a nasty bitter musky taste to them the they don't like.

So I have been reading up on them. Most sites claim that the main preditors are , birds of pray, foxes, coyotes , and coons. There were a couple sites that claim of them tasteing bad , and that they will spray a foul smelling musk when being persued. They are related to shrews , with that they have a very high energy out put . They need to eat often so this will result in high mortality rates. Maybe we see more dead that can be found and consumed by preditors. After all if yotes and foxes will be attracted to the foulness of a skunk ,how bad could the mole really be?

LOL. Nothing eats moles axcept for weasles and badgers. Both are from the same family of course.
If you skin them they make excellent solder rags for plumbers and a few hundred would produce a good pair of trousers.

The truth is I was too chicken to try. Think I'll stick with the tried and true.Yeah the Trappers Post had a story about how the mole was once a furbearer.
