Last season I boiled my traps with sumac flowers and worked pretty well. Whats the best product or way to boil and dye traps and when is the best time to do so in the off season?
Thanks

I have tried about everything in the last 50 some years and I like sumac or walnuts as good as anything.PS don't worry about that finger you caught I can"t recall many years without at least one black fingernail. I believe it is sort of a trademark. I usually do all my Bodygrip and water traps right after the season and then I do my K9 traps and hang them to air out well.

Anytime really.. I like to boil and wax. I find it relaxing. Maybe I am nuts.. Well Bill thinks I am... I have tried EVERYTHING and have ended up back at logwood powder. It is easier and dont get those dang little berries everywhere.. Then the traps are hung and put in clean totes.

I like it to be cooler when I wax, not saying it has to be cold, but not mid 70's. I like the wax to harden quickley
