The creek down the road, for the past month or so has been looking not so clear. But i did not think anything of it until today when i decided to walk up stream. when i got down in i noticed lots and lots of clay. Very weird. Iv never seen anything like it. so i made my way up stream and this is what i found. A sink hole.

Has there been any hydrofracking or mining lately? The creek near me is the same way from salt mining over a hundred years ago.

Where the bank looks eroded,is there a road right there?I only ask because it could be someone dumping a truckload of muck from digging a basement or some other similar activity.I have never seen a sink hole "erupt" like that, they usually, well, just sink.LOL

no its in the middle of no where, where its eroded is the bottom of a huge revein. cant even walk up it. Im wondering whats going to happen the next time it pours rain. the stream feeds the water supply for the next town over. its a big town. called the dec, and they came out. Did not say to much, but are going to take samples of the water and dirt around the pit.
