Bill I know all about that back and arms thing, after the70 mark your brain keeps telling you you to do some things that the rest of your body don't want nothing to do with.Last fall I spotted a perfect spot for a yote set on a log road so I put one in. Next check I was right there was mr yote in my trap after I carried him out half a mile by the feet because he was loaded with critters I did not want residing on my body I went right back there and pulled that set because ther just has to be more dumb yotes closer to the road.

At a young age I still stay close to the road ;D.........I just run alot of traps that way and found I can catch alot of fur by running a couple good sets near by the car then 20 half thought out sets way out.......each spot I trap I have 2-3 good sets and can move on but I can say it took time and alot of steel to find those sets.....but year after year I know those sets will be there(I hope)

oldeman---I also am past the 70 mark--- and you are absolutely correct---you do want to do more than your body will let you ---years ago I did a lot of running---I ran snow-shoe races for years--all the way up to the 26.6 mile runs---today its only a memory---I will still go off the road and set traps---but each year the distance from the road gets shorter. And the amount carried back to the truck is a lot less ---now its 2 trips rather than one. .LOL
