fleshing with a sharp knife when not needed. Actually was whipping knife off with news paper. 13 stitches.OUCH...

Boy that looks nasty , bet you' won't do that again , I always use an old t-shirt or rag. Hope they heal with no numbness.

I am sure I have done that a few times in the last 40 years. Here is a tip .--take an old towel and tack it around a 2 by 4 then you can put it or place it any were you wont with in reach to whip your knife on.I clamp mine by the table I am working at also near my fleshing beam .When it is full of fat and grease .I scrape it off or rotate it .

thanks all. will keep those tips in mind. numbness in 4th finger taking antibiotics of course .learned to not play with sharp knifes...lol. Firman you have me baffled with that one.

Thats a NAFA fur grade meaning slight damage..ll-lll refers to quality...or in your case, the second and third finger. ;D

ouch! suffering a bit myself this week , last friday I shortened my index finger on my left hand by another quarter inch on the shaper table . seems I keep hittin' it on everything in sight. Makes things tough typing as I type like a blind chicken eats w/ two finners .
