Loaded up Bluspeck and Annie and headed to a new spot way up in Johnsonsburg Wed. nite. Highest elevation I've hunted this year it was a balmy 38 here in the valley but a crisp frosty 28 up in the hills. Had some good long runs, made five trees, two dens and three on the outside. Never even touched the entire camp I will have to go back. Bluspeck shines on these frosty nites! Last tree was a big Hemlock boy I had a hard time gettin that ole boar to look. Not as big coon as last nite but heavy enuff packing out. It was a Christian Camp called Hemlock Hill and I promised the caretaker I wouldnt leave any carcasses in the camp so we hauled em back to the truck. FUN FUN FUN!!! Great runnin for this time of year, hides still nice shape boars just starting to get rub marks on the back of their necks. Couple were starting to get a little wooly as usual for this time of year. Next falll when I'm back in New York I'd like to tie in with you and go on a hunt. When I move back to New York I'd like to get two bluetick pups. I had two blueticks in the late seventies, they were a great pair. When I get back to New York a pair of Bluetick, a pair of small beagles and a Lab in in the cards. Possibly a Jack Russel from Pete Bassanni. I'm thinking about getting a Lab here shortly so I can get it out hunting next fall. I'm out by Seattle now, but want to mkove back to Upstate NY, the Binghamton area. I use to hunt New York and Pennsylvania. It's all fun, I love the hunting back there. Moving to Washington State was a huge mistake.

Papers don't do much for me, there are a ton of grade hunting dogs out there that are available. Getting the dogs out and hunt the hell out of them is an important part on how the dogs do in the woods. When I get back into the dogs I'll make sure they are out of a hunting strain, if they have papers it's an added bonus, if not "oh well"

That is awesome. Brings back a lot of memories for me. I had an English too. Out of the Hardtime lineage. I'll have to try to dig out some pics.
