I know these arent trappin photo's but wanted to share a few pics. Been running the hounds over 40 yrs. I have English dogs. The Blue male is 2 yr old nite ch Bluspeck and thr redtick is his daughter Annie. I would love to hear from other houndsmen.
Hello Doug! Thats a fine looking pair of hounds and they seem to get it done at night also! I havent seen you in a long time allways enjoyed talking with you a the shows or hunts. Do you have the #foryour fur buyer? seemslike good prices do you know if he go's other places?
Thanks I welcome anyboy that wants to try going out with the hounds. It seems like it is a dyeing sport. Also if anybody wants to breed their females for free my English male is UKC registered and a Performance sire for 2012. He is a Nite Ch and lacks one win to being a GRCH. He just needs a few points to be a FCH also. He has been described as a Lab personality in a coonhound body. Super cold nose and a layup dog. Big houndy bawl voice with locate and steady chop on tree. A couple guys are looking for coonhound/beagle crosses they do fine for hare or yote/foxhounds too. Anybody wanting to breed their beagle or cur or hound it is free.
Jim Walters long time no see! The fella I sell to is Gary Romanoff from the Rochester area, couldnt find his phone number but he is at Gary Carles dog supply every Friday from 2PM to 8PM in Pine Tavern near Perry NY.
Got ole Bluspeck out one more time before the snow came. Got two real nice big coon.

01/09 Hunt - Long runs, den treees and ruttin boars!
Cant believe this weather up here this year! Loaded Oatka Valley Annie, her pop Bluspeck and headed off to the woods on Dale rd. Had several long runs and den trees. We managed to tree two real nice boars on the outside and called it a nite. Both had to go over 20 lbs but didnt have my scales and didnt want to haul em out of the woods unskinned. A fine snow was starting to fall then calmed right down. Just a beautiful nite had a blast. Cant get any of these young bucks to go hunting but talked to a fella tonite that has Blueticks we are hunting together tomorrow in his woods. Wednesday nite headed to the big 1000 acre woods at camp Weona! Hope the weather holds!
Loaded up Bluspeck and Annie and headed to a new spot way up in Johnsonsburg Wed. nite. Highest elevation I've hunted this year it was a balmy 38 here in the valley but a crisp frosty 28 up in the hills. Had some good long runs, made five trees, two dens and three on the outside. Never even touched the entire camp I will have to go back. Bluspeck shines on these frosty nites! Last tree was a big Hemlock boy I had a hard time gettin that ole boar to look. Not as big coon as last nite but heavy enuff packing out. It was a Christian Camp called Hemlock Hill and I promised the caretaker I wouldnt leave any carcasses in the camp so we hauled em back to the truck. FUN FUN FUN!!! Great runnin for this time of year, hides still nice shape boars just starting to get rub marks on the back of their necks. Couple were starting to get a little wooly as usual for this time of year.

Next falll when I'm back in New York I'd like to tie in with you and go on a hunt. When I move back to New York I'd like to get two bluetick pups. I had two blueticks in the late seventies, they were a great pair. When I get back to New York a pair of Bluetick, a pair of small beagles and a Lab in in the cards. Possibly a Jack Russel from Pete Bassanni. I'm thinking about getting a Lab here shortly so I can get it out hunting next fall. I'm out by Seattle now, but want to mkove back to Upstate NY, the Binghamton area. I use to hunt New York and Pennsylvania. It's all fun, I love the hunting back there. Moving to Washington State was a huge mistake.

Papers don't do much for me, there are a ton of grade hunting dogs out there that are available. Getting the dogs out and hunt the hell out of them is an important part on how the dogs do in the woods. When I get back into the dogs I'll make sure they are out of a hunting strain, if they have papers it's an added bonus, if not "oh well"
