So do we have a spring rat and beaver/mink season, I looked in the handbook didn't see anything about it but tons of other states have it do we? I wouldn't want to miss out on any trapping opportuiunty. Thanks Guys Hatch

Itrapny, just curious if that was off the DEC website? i just checked their site and it still had tentative dates for beaver.
this would be cool. i was thinking i'd have a week to work on a beaver job, now i'd have 3 weeks, and it's when it's finally gonna melt.....i hope...lol now just hope this warm up we have the end of this week actually stays.
this year has ben heck at this location. ice was too thin to walk on but too think to bust to get a trap through where i needed it. Dom

The map came off the DEC site, they never updated the tentative banner. As far as beaver extensions, I haven't heard anything as yet. Here's the beaver season map..

I looked there I guess it makes sense now, they wouldn't post anything on it unless it's been changed. Thanks again for the help.!! Hatch

Hatch, You should call your regional office to find out if there is a beaver extension. Each region does there own extension. Here in reg.4 there will be no extension.

Dave is right. Sometimes here in Region 6 & 7 they send me to the furbearer people in Cortland for these questions. Seems like the CO's aren't told either sometimes.
