Some of you may know that I am a staff member of Traps4kids. www.traps4kids.com/Index.htmlI found this organization by accident, looking at trapping sites when I first got a PC. I volunteered as a mentor and became active in their forums. I took them up on a offer to go to the PA Trappers Convention in 2004 and after meeting Dan Tanner and the rest, realized that in order for trapping to continue on into the future that we need an organization such as this and these guys are working in that direction. I recently brought T4K to the NYSTA BOD looking for their sponsorship and have been well received. I would like all of you to go to the site and look it over and see if there isn't some way you could help. I am especially interested in building the mentoring program in NY, but am looking for sponsors from both individuals and trapping associations. Feel free with questions and comments.

I sent an email to dan about a week or so ago expressing interest. I have not heard back yet but I would certainly get involved anyway I could. Tough down here though. Few places left to trap.

THanks guys. Although T4k has been around a while we are relitively new to a lot of areas, NY being one of them. The ones that know of the T4K program are for the most part trappers. We need to get it in front of those that may have an interest in trapping, so spread the word. I would like to see New York completely covered with a mentor in every area so as we could help anyone anywhere. Any ideas in ways to get us out to the public will certainly be looked at. I will be spending a lot of my time in getting this up and running in NY in the next few years and although you may not have heard from anyone so far be assured that you will.
