www.ofofinc.org/October 15th I will be leading a nature walk through Huckleberry Swamp showing a trappers perspective. Huckleberry Swamp is a wooded swamp with a boardwalk that runs through it. I saved it from ravenous beaver this spring and have become friends with the owners. This is a place that you would think wasn't friendly to our way of life but now not only understands trapping but appreciates it for what it is. Trapping is not allowed there as it is a bird santuary but having these type of people understanding and excepting what we do goes a long way. Anyone is welcome and the event is free. It will be family fun and educational, not a trapping demo, but a look through my eyes at a place that I would trap with different circumstances, pointing out furbearer sign and stuff like that, things I look for while out scouting.

I think its great you're doing this, educating those people who are unaware of the trappers world goes a very long way. Am interested in how well they all accept what you explain to them.
