Dear Friends, Heres a simple but very effective coon bait for thoose who choose to dabble in that direction. In a clean gallon jug............. fill half full with ground fish (salmon or bullheads work real well), add 1 cup of pickling salt, 1 pint cod liver oil or good salmon oil, 4 oz of monosodium glutamate. Mix well and age 1 month. Will not spoil. Use a tablespoon or more at your set. Also good for grey fox, fisher and bobcat.. Regards papabear

Dear Mr. FrankD, Cod liver oil can be found at most drug stores. You could substitute with fish oil but I would reccomend staying away from the rotten smelling stuff. Also Mr. Nightowl sells a Trout oil that would work well. If you substitute with shellfish oil only use about 4-6 ounces as its pretty loud stuff. Regards papabear
