Put up a coon a couple of weeks ago and when I went to go check on it last week, I noticed the mice chewed off some of the leg area. Is it still a salvagable piece? I wanted to donate it but I don't want to donate junk. Thanks

If they just chewed the fat off shouldn't be a big deal, if they chewed holes though, not so good. Was it on the belly side?

Nick; my thought process goes like this. a donated amount is excepted as just that no matter if it is a dollar or twenty dollars.

Guys thanks for the answers. The damage is more on the leg / hip area. I meant to get a picture but it was a crazy weekend. I will post. There is no damage to the belly or back

First thing is you you have to put us up for a week or two. Need to see menu in advance. insurance is your responsibility. TV rights , etc.

I have sold some pretty beat up coon and still made a few bucks. As long as the back fur isnt too bad it should be ok, right?

Just ticked me off Coop. This is the first coon I did that I didn't put any holes in. LOL this year I had a male Jumbo xxxx (or whatever the size...the large kind) all jet black. This thing was beautiful! When I was slicing the neck fat I cit a hole right through it! Hoot still gave me the undamaged price. I think he felt bad for me....lol

Did you have that coon hanging? The only time mice have messed with me is when I layed furs on a table in the garage for a bit

Yeah it was hanging but the back end was touching the table so they got it.
