Hey all after reading a few post on putting fur up I decided to put up my coon this year. I wish I had boards as that's on the list for Santa Clause. All I had was wire. Keep in mind these are my first attempts at coon so go easy on me. I know I have flaws. Back Belly I just put them up so if I can fix anything I still have time. Thanks in advance.

Thanks trappermac, I guess I'm a little picky and a perfectionist when it comes to things like handling fur. The coon on the far left In the last pic was my first put up , as a kid I sold them on the carcass and last year didn't catch any. I used the first one as a gunniea pig cause the other 2 were 33"& 35". I think the first one turned out to narrow so I worked my coon stretchers into shape not letting that happen on the next two that I did today.I've read your post and know you have many years of experience and you say they look fine so I'll leave them alone and allow them to dry. I learned on the first coon to take the clothes pins off them earlier than i did to not leave indents on the hide. I was concerned about being consistent with the inspection window size as well and over fleshing which I also did on the first one. All and all I am pleased with the way they turned out. Also wanted to say thanks to all for making this forum a wealth of knowledge.

Looking good. one small thing you could try, I tie off the front legs with rubber bands, just like on beaver. Leave them there til the leather is completely dry then cut them off. Its not necessary but it looks good.

Thanks for the tip Jim I did tie them off but I used power pro fishing line didn't have any rubber bands on hand. I'm hoping it will do the same thing.
